Steven qualified in 1989 from University College Hospital, London and after a period working in the Teaching Hospital, relocated back to the North of England. His first general practice job was in East Manchester, where he gained valuable experience in the management of all kinds of patients and continued his professional development by attending many postgraduate courses, particularly in advanced restorative, cosmetic and implant dentistry, studying both in the UK and Internationally.
Steven joined this practice, previously known as Kurer’s Crescent Road, in 1993, when there was one surgery, becoming Principal Dentist and owner of the now rebranded Crescent Dental Care in 1996, growing it to the seven surgery practice it is today.
He is committed to providing the highest standard of care for all his patients throughout all age ranges and has a light hearted and friendly, yet professional manner.
Steven is a serving member of the Local Dental Committee, a member of the BDA (British Dental Association) and an Associate Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners.
Despite Steven’s busy and committed schedule at the practice, he enjoys spending any free time travelling, horse riding and skiing, along with the occasional, reluctant visit to the gym!
After qualifying from University College Hospital, London in 1989, Neena started her dental career working in General Dental Practice, close to Hampstead in North London.
On relocating to the North West, she worked in North Manchester for 10 years and along with her work in General Practice, undertook oral surgery placements in local hospitals and provided regular dental treatment to the employees of Colgate-Palmolive at their in-situ dental clinic in Manchester.
She joined Crescent Dental Care in 2001 and has grown an extensive and loyal following of patients of all ages, many travelling significant distances for treatment. She regularly attends dental, advanced restorative and aesthetic courses at home and abroad and is keen on all aspects of dentistry from routine family care through to tooth whitening, cosmetic smile makeovers and non surgical facial aesthetics.
In her spare time she rides her horse as much as possible, is a keen skier and enjoys gardening and design. She also takes an active interest in learning languages.
Mark qualified from the University of Sheffield in 1999. He worked in General Practice in Sheffield for 5 years, as well as teaching Oral Surgery to undergraduates at the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital, Sheffield. He also lectured in denture prosthetics to dentists in the South Yorkshire area.
After returning to Cheshire, Mark continued to work in General Dental Practice and joined the team at Crescent Dental Care in 2006. He has continued to further his post graduate dental training to keep up to date with the latest techniques, with a particular interest in dental implants, cosmetic dentistry and prosthetics.
Having a young family, he enjoys taking care of our younger patients and was asked to help to develop the ‘Baby Teeth Do Matter’ initiative to help North West dentists to improve children’s dental health. He is also experienced in more complex treatments and working with our in-house specialists.
Mark is a member of the British Dental Association and Associate Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. He is also an elected member of Trafford Local Dental Committee. He has appeared of BBC Radio 5 and BBC Breakfast, discussing dental issues.
Outside work, Mark is kept busy with two young sons who enjoy travel and the great outdoors. Mark is a keen cyclist: both road and mountain, and loves skiing when he gets the opportunity.
Jacob, originally from Didsbury, studied at Bristol University Dental School and post qualification has spent his time working in General Practice in London, before recently relocating back to the North,
He has a keen interest in paediatric(children’s) dentistry as well as cosmetic and general restorative procedures.
He actively participates in postgraduate courses both at home and abroad and has undertaken postgraduate examinations for the Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery, Royal College of Surgeons and plans further restorative dentistry and prosthodontics training.
Jacob has a relaxed, calm and friendly yet professional manner making him very popular with all types and ages of patients.
Outside the Practice, Jacob enjoys travel and socialising with friends and he has a keen interest in health and fitness and athletics.
Tony qualified from Dundee University (formerly University of St Andrews) and has practised for most of his long and successful career in his own surgery in Chorlton, Manchester. He is delighted to be able to join our practice (as are we!) and brings with him many years’ experience in general practice looking after patients of all ages. He has a wide range of skills including cosmetic bonding (veneers).
Tony is “local lad” having lived in the area for over 40 years and enjoys playing golf and bridge (both badly!) but his greatest passion is for his family, his wife Dinah, five children and lots of young grandchildren.
Gary Zolty graduated in 1991 from the University of Witwatersrand (South Africa) and has limited his clinical dental practice to Endodontics (root canal treatment) setting up and running a private referral endodontic practice since 1998. He joined the Crescent Dental Care team in 2003
Gary has completed a Masters of Science (MSc) degree (Endodontics) and also an advanced postgraduate technique course in Endodontics in the University of Illinois, Chicago, USA, as well as a Higher Diploma in Endodontics at the University of Stellenbosch, South Africa and achieved cum laude.
Gary is passionate about his chosen speciality and has presented lectures and full day seminars as well as publishing articles in scientific journals.
