Kathryn Dunning has 25 years of experience of providing Private Dentistry in all disciplines of General Dentistry. She strives to perform dentistry to the highest standard and treats every patient as gently as possible.

She has extensive postgraduate training in Occlusion and uses a comprehensive approach to assess the bite (occlusion), soft tissues and tooth surfaces to diagnose bite problems which can lead to tooth wear, tooth fracture, unstable bites, jaw joint problems, facial pain and headaches.

Kathryn has a Postgraduate Certificate in Orthodontics from Warwick Medical School and has several years experience in the use of Invisalign, Clear Smile Aligners and Damon Orthodontic Braces. She is currently studying towards a Postgraduate Diploma in Aligner Therapy.

In Devon Kathryn also held the role as an Advisor to General Dental Practitioners for the Primary Care Trust prior to the implementation of the care quality commission (CQC), her responsibilities included inspecting Dental practices and providing advice to NHS practices on their standards of cross infectioncontrol to enable them to achieve best practice.

For part of her career Kathryn has also been a Dental Tutor at Liverpool Dental School and a Facilitator of Undergraduate Dental Students at the Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth. In her own practice Kathryn was also an Educational Supervisor of newly Qualified Dentists in General Dental Practice for 6 years.

Outside of work and studying Kathryn likes to spend time with her family and when time permits she enjoys walking holidays with her husband.
